Zip Line Into Life Size Godzilla's Mouth! I'm IN!
A Godzilla museum in Japan is open for a limited time, complete with incredible themed food and artwork. At the Nijigen no Mori amusement park in Awaji Island, close to Kobe and Naruto, fans of the 1954 film can view rare film props and buy exclusive merchandise. The incredible exhibition, which is open now, is set to run until August 31, as part of a preview of the museum. But Newsweek reports the best is yet to come later this year -a zipline that allows you to fly into the mouth of a 65-foot statue of the monster. The unique opportunity will see visitors act as scientists at the Godzilla Interception Operation-National Godzilla Awajishima Research Centre, where they must work to defeat the beast. Described as the “world’s largest life-size Godzilla”, the replica is set to measure 20 metres high, 25 metres wide and 55 metres long. Pictures of the zipline have gone viral online - with thousands of film fans clamouring to go. One person tweeted: "A Godzilla museum just opened in Japan. The museum is offering a sneak-peek to fans of the film "Very soon they will open phase two that includes a ZIP LINE that lets you fly INTO Godzilla's GOD DAMNED mouth. This is now the greatest thing in the world." Another fan joked: "One more reason for me to move to Japan, so I can zipline into godzilla's mouth twice a week." There is also set to be a shooting game, where visitors have to dodge attacks from Godzilla while trying to shoot at him. A blog on the theme park's website states: "The legendary figure of Godzilla was first confirmed at the beginning of the Meiji era when a typhoon hit Awaji Island.
