Can Gender Equality Be attained? Gender Equality is a state in which both males and females are given the same accessibility to opportunities, resources and challenges. It is no more news that the world today has moved from the time where women were seen as just help mates to one where women are seen as competitors, in some places they stand equal opportunities as the men. In Africa, gender Equality has suffered a set back despite efforts put in place to make it work because of the misconception our people have of it. Today if you listen closely to the feminist around you, their talks and actions is that which portrays hate for the male gender, they no more fight for the female gender but fight to oppress the men. I remember some time last year when a prolific African Feminist in person of Chimamanda attacked Hillary Clinton for putting "Wife" on her bio.,this I found very appalling. Some things cannot be changed, things like a woman being called a wife, whether feminist or not once a woman is married she becomes a wife (except a case of same sex marriage). In advanced countries women have made it to almost, if not all spheres of life, you have them in the health sector as doctors, nurses, etc in politics as ministers, senators, etc. We have the feminist to thank for this achievement as they've fought for equal rights for the women. With all this strides will it be safe to say that Gender Equality can be attained?
