“This landscape is animate: it moves, transposes, builds, proceeds, shifts, always going on, never coming back, and one can only retain it in vignettes, impressions caught in a flash, flipped through in succession, leaving a richness of images imprinted on a sunburned retina.” -Ann Zwinger "Enchanted Evening" #art #photography #nature #outdoors #minds (Work by Sean Ramsey)

Sunset at Hallstatt, Germany a small town in the Austrian state of Upper Austria. The area is renown for salt production, even into prehistoric times, and gave its name to the Hallstatt culture, with links to Proto-Celtic people of the Early Iron Age. Its rich history and its stunning vistas make for a lovely place to visit. #art #photography #germany #travel #outdoors #minds

Victoria Falls, Zambia River the boarder between Zambia and Zimbabwe. The falls itself is located in southern Africa on the Zambezi River. The falls itself is about 355ft fall (108m) and while it is neither the tallest or widest it is classified as the largest waterfall in the world. A famous feature called the "Devil Pool" near the edge of the falls on Livingstone Island on the Zambian side. When the river flow is at a certain level a rock barrier forms an eddy with minimal current, allowing adventurous swimmers to splash around in relative safety a few feet from the point where the water cascades over the falls. Occasional deaths have been reported when people have slipped over the rock barrier. (Photo by Alex Mazunga) #art #photography #nature #Zimbabwe #Africa #outdoors
