Chestnut-collared Longspur. This is a grassland species that nests on the northern prairies, and is a winter visitor south to West Texas. It's an extremely rare bird here in Southeast Texas, and this individual was the first record for Jefferson Co., found a couple of days before I took this photo on 1/25/20. #myphoto #nature #birds #birding
