Chiffchaff Sketch Growing up in the countryside as a kid you never got bored as there was to much to do and see (as well as school and work) by the time i got to the age of 8 or so i pretty much knew all the species of birds that inhabited the british isles! you also knew what time of the year it was by which particular species was about like this chiffchaff! which told you that spring had sprung and early summer was just around the corner! after arriving back from its yearly arduous journey of a 1000+ mile from the southern med or west africa! (not bad for a tiny warbler no bigger than an chickens egg) much easier to hear than see with his unmistakable song which depicts its name! chiffchaff! chiffchaff! chiffchaff.
