Exploring around Third Falls

This is a photo/video blog post from a recent hike we did. With my recent knee repair, I decided to go on an easy and familiar hike. Third falls is a special place that makes for great photography and videography. Watch the video clips in 4K if you can.

This place never disappoints.

I'm trying to improve my photography skills with the challenging high dynamic range environment.

Maybe someday I'll get these print worthy.

We were happy to see that the pool had cleaned itself up nicely, but it was far too cold to swim this day. 

Even in winter, the sun still lights up the underside of the rock shelf with a great shimmer.

Just a stone's throw downstream from the falls we found a spring coming out of the rock. It had some interesting colors. From the tracks, it seems the animals prefer this spring over the creek. 

A nice place for a break.

A little farther down there is a side stream that falls over a decent cliff.

Upstream we found a nice cliff face with a hollow.

Closer to the falls are some nice little rocky rapids.

It's a relaxing place to sit
