Samsung is preparing to add support for cryptocurrency in its service Samsung Pay, writes Business Korea. The company transferred the work of the blockchain group from a mobile unit to a service unit, previously it was engaged in adding a digital wallet to the Galaxy S10.
The new head of the group has been appointed vice president of the service division of Kim Yong-jo Corporation, he is working with Samsung Pay. Such personnel changes were made during the announcement of the company’s plan to strengthen the focus on the blockchain and cryptocurrency.
In mid-May, Samsung announced plans to integrate an e-wallet into inexpensive Galaxy mobile devices. In early spring, the corporation introduced the flagship smartphone S10 with a similar function.
