The Solution

I had the insight today that the solution to our problem here in the US is to abolish political parties. The reason we have career Congressmen who everyone hates yet continue to be elected, and the reason we never really get the presidential candidates we really want is because people are stifled by fear of their vote going to waste if they split their votes to a "third party" candidate. This limits us to two options every time. Then the primaries for our only two options weed out most candidates from even getting on the ballot in the state you live in! Imagine how liberating it would be if you knew their was no fear compelling everyone to vote for a "team". Imagine if you could truly vote your conscience and not have to be controlled by the compromise for "electability". Further imagine if every vote in every state was cast on the same day.
