How Will the Internet Look in Ten Years?

 A Brief Backstory

This is something I wrote 11-8-12. It was for a scholarship. What I had to do is create a website and use the prompt "How Will the Internet Look in Ten Years? Sadly and to my disappointment I did not get the scholarship. It was probably the most effort i put towards a scholarship considering i had never made a website before. The website is gone now because after the first month it was no longer free to host. Luckily after searching through my document I found it and can share it here on Minds. Hope you guys enjoy it!

How Will the Internet Look in 10 Years

So how will the Internet be in 10 years? Well right now we know that it is a great way for communication and sharing of information ideas etc.. It has changed culture dramatically people are able to access information that wasn't really there before. People are able to share ideas and come together without having to physically travel. The Internet is a way for people to connect with one another all over the world. It really breaks down barriers and brings awareness of activities occurring around the planet. Let's not look at the Internet as an inanimate object let's look at it as if it is actually a living thing.

What if we need the Internet more than the Internet needs us. Humans have now created a symbiotic relationship with the Internet. If you look at society today we would not be able to function as we are now if the Internet was to suddenly vanish. I believe that people would be lost without the Internet today in the United States and in other parts of the world. The Internet has been expanding ever since it came into existence and what if it gets to a point in the near future where it is actually able to evolve itself all on it's own.

The more efficient the Internet becomes I believe that it'll look more like nature

There are some patterns that are made by humans that somewhat mimic nature like for an example rivers in valleys from the sky could easily resemble capillaries in the body and cities are like organs the roads are the veins and the cars are the blood. If we were to take a look how everything in the Internet connects it would look like neurons in the brain and computer models of dark matter in the universe So I think the more advanced the Internet becomes the more it will take on a nature of its own and might be able to become more advance than we ever thought possible. In the end though I think the Internet is here to help advance the human race as a whole and as we advance the Internet will advance and so on. In a sense the Internet is here to advance our consciousness and help us be more creative I believe it is a very positive force that affects the entire planet. It is a pool of infinite information. We share a very unique symbiotic relationship with this technological entity we call the Internet. I can't say for sure that I know what the Internet will look like all I know is that it's going to be amazing and spectacular that words will not be able to describe it.
