Thoughts on my path of Spirituality
The differences between casting spell, hex, blessing, or saying a prayer.
Well there isn't much of a difference except for a few essential steps.
On the micro levels of magic and casting, we're pretty much sending out our own energy without a celestial or divine intercessor. Smaller scale stuff.
On a personal note, I do most hex work in this tier of micro magic, unless I am pushed, and I mean, really pushed. No, I do not believe in karma or a threefold law, and before anyone barks about a rede, that rede was invented by a moron in the forties so, don't. But I do think, other than draining myself or letting someone get the best of me, in most cases, they get no more than some energetic daggers shot their way, or a nice little jar of shit to clean up from their miss doings, and I move on. Life's to short to be petty or spend too much time vengeance, however I do not ever forget, and a little smite never hurt anyone, maybe even taught them a lesson. That's me though. Also most jar work, sweet or sour, is on this level.
On the macro level of magic and spell casting and weaving, we're using our Divine intercessor's and pumping out a lot more focus, energy, and intent, into the universe. For me This is similar to how many prayers work except, we may go bigger with celestial courts, and ask our ancestors as well as other spirits to join us in aid for what we are trying to accomplish and personally willing it through intent and focus with intense energy and our own power, to happen with the intersession of our spiritual courts and circles, and for them to interject to the God Head, that our will is fulfilled.
In prayer, we are essentially asking our divine celestial court for the intersession of something we wish to happen, be it God's will, and trusting in that.
All are essentially important in my path. And whether or not you work with the Trinity and Heavenly court or not, in your own you are going to find that a lot of it comes down to the will of a higher power, and eventually you will learn to accept that. Even though it is sometimes absolutely frustrating, and will anger you. It is what it is. The universe, God, Old ones, we can't begin to really wrap our heads around them or why things happen, we can only learn to right our own selves and sometimes that means making better decisions, or yanno letting things go, and going with the flow. Learning to accept freewill is a huge part of why things go bad is a tough lesson to learn. We're not perfect beings, we all make choices, good and bad. Self reflection helps us to make better ones. Magic can be as miraculous as prayer, but sometimes, bad stuff will still happen in a imperfect world.
