The Face of a Killer

Philadelphia faced one of it's largest police killings in decades just two days ago on August 15th, 2019. What started as a narcotics bust would leave six officers seriously injured. Their assailant, identified as Maurice Hill (pictured above and below) had a history of violence and was in fact a felon which in the United States bars you from ever owning a gun. He, like many others, purchased his gun illegally.

Gun ownership in the U.S. is a hot-button subject at the moment, and has many strong opinions from both sides. However, when we see this violence in our communities we all agree in unison that some people just shouldn't have guns at all.

Thanks to a panic induced call to his attorney Shaka Johnson, he did surrender at his advice, and was immediately detained. "You gotta surrender, man." All I can say is "Thank God for this lawyer."
