Freedom of Speech

Hello Minders.  Joker here.

Did you hear the news?  Elon Musk is buying up Twitter Stock by the boatload and the Twitter Crystal Palace is in full panic mode.  Me?  I am over here laughing my ass off.  As if any of this will make a difference.  All the conservatives are in full Ra-Ra mode...yay for the good guys....yeah right.

Here's the thing.  People are all looking for Freedom of Speech.  They chastise one another for supporting platforms like Facebook or Twitter that ban Free Speech, and then they come to places like GAB or even here on MINDS looking for Free Speech.  And what do they do?  They go back to places like Facebook or Twitter and copy posts from other people there and place them here.  In essence promoting the very sites they swore to leave.

I used to be on all those sites.  I am no longer there.  I swore that if Twitter censored me one more time that I would censor them.  And I did.  Now, I will never go back to Twitter.  I left a lot of good people there too.  They are probably wondering what happened to me.  Oh well.  But what I will not do is go back to Twitter or Facebook to copy something someone said there to post it here.  I have enough good and smart people here that I can Re-mind.  Don't need to go there.

I am also glad to see that at least now that I am writing this, I don't see that stupid bar at the bottom suggesting that I forward my post to one of those sites.  If people on those sites are really interested in what I have to say, they can come here.

I don't understand why people use MINDS only 20% of the time.  If you are going to use it, go for 100%.  For example, you can write a one or two liner...just like Twitter.  You can post your personal pics and experiences, just like on Facebook.  You can upload videos like Youtube.  Why aren't you just here.  Why do you feel the need to bring content from those other places here.

I'll tell ya, in my own small personal war against the big tech social media giants, I am refusing to even acknowledge them.  So, no offense to people here but if you feel the need to bring content over from those sites, I am choosing to ignore it.  To me, it's like you didn't post anything.  Post videos from Rumble, or Bitchute...I am all there.  Post from Youtube, I don't care how good or important it may be.  I am not viewing it.

If more people would abandon the mainstream social media outlets and embrace Alt Tech, the problem of Free Speech would end faster I believe.

Think about it.  MINDS could give you everything you need, but you have to embrace it.  Also, you have to show @ottman and the MINDS Crystal palace that you are embracing it.  That way, they develop more features because they know people will use it.

I strongly urge you to drop the mainstream social media giants like a bad habit.  You don't need them.  You are just addicted to them.  Know the difference.
