DOOM_MUSIC_3.0, is a remake mod of the original music from the 90's PC game DOOM, DOOM 2, and Final DOOM.

The original music from the series is in MIDI format. MIDI music is like digital sheet music, it only contains data and instructions rather than actual sound. One can play the music using a sound card with FM synthesis, like Ad Lib or Sound Blaster

(Example 1.0)

Another way to play the music is to use a sound card that supports MIDI, like Gravis Ultrasound, or a sound module like the Roland SC-55

(Example 2.0)

Nowadays, there are source ports that support digital audio playback. Now one can just record the playback from a sound module to digital audio, and be done, right? Yes, but that is not how a proper recording is done. This is where DOOM_MUSIC_3.0 comes in!

My approach for producing DOOM_MUSIC_3.0, and every project I produce for that matter. Is to "make the artists vision a reality." In this case the vision was in the form of data or digital composition. So how does one make a proper recording? Well here is the short version. After production and recording, comes mixing and mastering. (Making the project into a proper sound recording.) Followed by final production. (Making the actual product that you experience.)

DOOM_MUSIC_3.0, is a project I've held close to my heart. I have always admired the music from DOOM since childhood, and always wanted to hear what it would sound like with, "real instruments." And now I can, and now I'm sharing it with you!

Thank you, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.
