Sunrise, a poem

Musings on how to start your day.

Blinding light,
Brilliantly bright,
Expands to fill,
Field of view,
Effulgent, expressive,
Looming and impressive.

Eyes closed,
Lids glow pink,
In the darkness,
You seem to sink.
Radiant heat,
Upon your face,
Sun above,
Refusing to blink.

Moment of reflection,
Solar introspection,
Face turned up,
Soul heavy,
Drinking in,
Sol’s projection.

Oh! What better way,
Of waking than,
To greet a sunrise,
Each new day?
