Weekend projects: homemade wagon edition

I decided to build a wagon this weekend to help my dog get around.

Doggo is old and arthritic and can't really go for walks anymore, so I figure if I made a wagon for him we could take him on walks around the block again and he'd really get a kick out of it.

Plus, it never hurts to have a cart handy when you need to move stuff.

Bought the wheel assemblies online and picked up some lumber from the homeless despot

Plywood panel trimmed, starting to screw teh first screws into place. Made sure to drill pilot holes to keep it from splitting.

Rear wheels mounted easy peezy. I had just enough 5/16" bolts to put it all together

Saned down the edges a bit and she's done. Only took a few hours, even with a banged up knee.

I still need to stain/paint and seal it, but I think I'll test it out first. It's very modular so it would be pretty easy to increase the height or make the sides fold down or similar.

He's still a little antsy but so far so good🥰

Gonna wean him into it over the next few days. Also might add some extra height to the rail so he feels more secure.
