So, when I set up the CNC mill initially, I cobbled a temporary air setup together to run the tool changer and mist coolant.
Lo and behold 3 years later it's still there as an eyesore, taunting me! Notice the blue pneumatic lines casually strewn together. So I finally decided to fix it it today.
First part was figuring out how to install the cutoff lever
Next was milling some kind of fixture to hold the cutoff in-place rather than the jury-rigged version I have right now.
Replacing the mist system too, so I need a 120v solenoid to actuate the new mist coolant.
Cutoff switch mounted with the bracket in the lower corner of the mill, right next to the oil lubricator.
For the coolant line I just glued a couple neodymium magnets, so I can readjust if needed.
Overall took longer than I expected, but I'm finally glad to be done with this highly-procrastinated project.
Hope you enjoyed 🤓
