Columbian-born businessman Álvaro Pulido, business partner of one-time Nicolás Maduro ally Alex Saab, has been taken into U.S. custody and transferred from Venezuela following an investigation by the DEA, FBI, and Homeland Security Investigations.
Pulido, 62, faced indictments in Miami (2019 and 2021) for allegedly bribing Venezuelan officials and using offshore shell companies to launder kickbacks tied to over $2 billion in state contracts. (ABC News)
