Lots of Lettuce We had our first garden salad of the year yesterday. This is way more than we will eat so we will likely give away as much as possible. This is the a triangle raised bed I built this spring.

Green Bean Season

You know, if you had asked my younger self, I don't think I would have put "marginally obsessed with green beans" on my bingo card for traits I had as an adult, but here we are. My bush beans are cranking, and I'm definitely happy about it. And yes, green beans make it on the short list of things I'll keep growing even if I had to give up my garden and just grow in pots. On other topics, hope everyone who celebrated had a lovely 4th of July!

Wild Strawberries I haven't been taking as many pictures this year of the garden as it is kind of a mess (more so than usual). We have had an unusual growing season so far. It has rained almost every day of June, receiving 10 inches of rain (average for June is 3 inches). And there is rain in the forecast tomorrow. The whole yard is squishy and there are a crazy amount of mosquitoes. Looking forward to July and some sun.

Breadseed Poppy

Growing poppies, and specifically breadseed poppies started to be a bit of a garden goal a couple of years ago. The first try, and second tries I attempted direct sowing, managed to grow a couple flimsy ornamental poppies, but nothing to write home about. This past winter I tried...See more

New Set of Herbs on the Line

Feverfew, chamomile, lavender, lemon balm and catmint.

Garlic

Pulled all my garlic. Obviously, doesn't look like something from a farm (definitely not the store because that is all softneck) but I'm very pleased with the harvest.
