► 2 diced onions
► 5 cloves of chopped garlic
► 2 cups of chopped celery
► 2 cups of chopped carrots
► 1 cup of chopped green onions
► 1 bunch of finely cut kale
► 3 tbsp butter
► 3 tbsp olive oil
► 4 strips of bacon cut into small pieces
► 1 pound of green lentils
► 1 12oz. can of tomato sauce
► 64 oz. chicken broth
► 1 tbsp salt
► Caramelize the onions and garlic with the butter first.
► Add all rest of the ingredients.
► Simmer 2 hours.
