Alric

So... Alric. He seems like your generic badass soldier. He's not, really. While he has all the same traits as generic badasses, such as: family and friends are dead, joined the military because of it, and so on, Alric's story is unique.

 Instead of succumbing to the fear and horror of watching his friends die in front of him, he did something about it. 

He killed the murderers of his friends and family. He died in the process. But because of his heritage, he discovered his true powers, the ability to summon a white light to heal wounds. This is what makes Alric different, his powers. 

Personally, Alric reminds me heavily of the Doomguy. A massive, strong man with a slew of weapons, and more than enough anger for his enemies.

He carries a bigass sword and he isn't afraid to use it. And it's not just any big sword. It's a German zweihander. With a blade length of 84 inches (213 cm), weighing in at a balanced 7 pounds (3.2 kg), his vibrosword is a nightmare. It allows Alric to cut through pretty much anything in his path, which happens pretty often. He's more of a 'shoot first, ask later' kind of guy.

Being a Star Marine, Alric is well versed in many (if not all) forms of combat, especially hand-to-hand. Guess that's why he uses the sword.

Alric was stationed as the captain of the IMS Bremen, when it was attacked and all but he survived. Later discovered and saved by Vasilisa (now his wife), Alric now resides on the IMS Starshatter, splitting his time between his wife, and his weapons workshop.

To sum it all up, Alric is a proud, righteous (and sometimes stubborn, but can you blame him?) and intimidating man. He may seem cold-hearted and emotionless, but he actually sometimes is a gentle person. Just don't piss him off.
