A new decade has started. I want to invest some money to secure my retirement fund. Long-term investment. What to do? Where to invest?

After some time spent in cryptoworld, I believe that investing in crypto will be the way to go in 2020s. Some people say there is only one good thing to invest in - GOLD. Most people I know believe in fiat currencies such as EUR or USD - there is no need to invest if you can trust the banks right? And what about stock world? All time high and climbing higher…

Not an easy decision.

At the end only time will tell which option is the best.

I decided to start with virtual investing - not buying the actual commodities or stocks, but just keeping track of and see which option performs better. I have never touched gold market, only made a couple of trades on stock and crypto exchanges (no experience), so I will make things easy and skip all the fees, commissions and other extra costs. For a start.

$100 seems a reasonable sum I can afford per month. I can not choose which option will be the best, so I will invest those $100 in each option.

Portfolio idea:

*FIAT(any bank)

*GOLD(prices from OANDA)

*S&P 500 (SPY prices from ARCA, CBOE) - stocks can’t be bought partially

*BITCOIN(prices from Bitstamp)

The idea is to add 100$ to each option every month. First monday at 10am ET (3pm GMT or 11pm HKT). Dollar cost average method. No withdrawals until 1.1.2030.
