Remember that time the Washington Post changed their motto to "democracy dies in darkness"? Now the media is fighting in favor of the darkness.

"Trump's Order to Reveal Docs Could Undermine Secret Court System "

---Yeah, that's kind of the point.

"there's little public evidence to substantiate the president's claims"

---Retards. It's a SECRET court. Your claim that there is no evidence is a symptom, not a defense.

"'No one should be happy about the weaponization of declassification, ' argued Vladeck, a national security professor."

---No, no one should be happy that the government has a secret unaccountable court system authorizing the government to target citizens with no due process, you authoritarian fucktard.

"'If your problem with the Carter Page warrant is that the standard is too lax, your claim is not that the system is abused, it's that the system is abusive,' Vladeck continued"

---Yes. Yes it is. To fix the abusive system you first need to expose it, a process that you and the rest of the authoritarians are fighting.

Ever since Trump was elected, the media has said "he has the power to declassify documents, if he were innocent he could just declassify the evidence to prove it!" Then when he tries to declassify something, they freak out.

Their claims are actually unfounded anyway. He didn't release the info (which he could), he told the intelligence agencies to do it, meaning they have the time and authority to filter out their sources and methods if they truly believe their release to be a security threat.

I actually miss the Bush days. At least back then, the left understood that secret courts and over powered surveillance agencies were a problem. Then Obama took command and they reversed course. Now they're maintaining that course because, admit it or not, they believe in the "deep state" and they understand that Obama's ideology is still in control of large sections of the governments.
