Abandoned factory producing tin packaging for the food industry.

I have not been able to find much information on when operations ceased, only that in the late 1990s the company was sold to international entities and reorganized.

As usual, the way in led through a neglected area with the remains of garages, workshops, even a railway siding.

And dark basement spaces with suggestively placed pressure vessels.

Maybe when I publish some of these photos independently, I'll add glowing red eyes to them in photoshop.

The dark first floor of the factory was a mess, with only the stairs to the upper floors. It was well below zero that day...

And it felt even colder on the ground floor than outside.

The building is quite a maze and finding the main staircase was more challenging in the end. I made one more round through the basement...

The main hall was bathed in sunshine. Not only does it look very good in the photos, but it was a bit warmer there.

One smaller two story space adjacent to the main hall.

As is usual in such buildings, the floor was covered with pigeon droppings. Fortunately, the winged rats stayed on the heated roofs in the village during the day.

The building was in pretty bad shape in places. Additional spaces had been added to the original building over the decades, and the roofs were probably not always well bonded.

Although there were many photogenic and interesting details inside, almost nothing of the original equipment remained.

Most of the rooms were completely empty.

Except, of course, for the devices that cannot be easily removed.

One interesting artifact was this... well, I think it's a refrigerator, but it might as well be a safe. Either way, it's a beautiful piece.

In any case, a really beautiful trip. Can of beer I took with me froze in my backpack and the pubs were prohibited to serve me. Had to carry all batteries in my pocket to be able to squeeze some power out of them. I tore my trousers as I crossed the frozen creek by sliding over a fallen tree. But, it was worth it.
