Other base stocks can be used for specialty applications, including for fire resistance and extreme temperature applications. Examples embrace: glycol, esters, organophosphate ester, polyalphaolefin, propylene glycol, and silicone oils (For Brake fluids).
Aircraft hydraulic systems
