In the backwoods of New York is a company called Moog. The Company Was Founded By Bill Moog was considerate of his employees. A fact which is pointed out that he actually lived on-site of the main office designed specifically for employee development either through glass walls for management visibility or open floor plans to allow for design teams to refit or makes a new product.

The design featured a garden in the center of the building along with planets that are watered and taken care of a daily basis. The building's functionality was and was energized with the purpose to allow people to think creatively outside the box at times and to create without having to remodel a room. For the room is remodeled with each new project to allow people to carry out their work with the minimum of hassle. The remodeling happens on the second shift usually allowing for a complete transition from one product or design to another in as little time as needed for the design of the room to be done.

The circular design of the garden forces people during lunch time to mingle with others outside of their area. The business development team sharing the leftovers from meetings with the higher ups bring good cheer to a lot of hard worker's year by year. That is the building itself.

The workers are brought up in this environment and seem to grow and build upon other's happiness. The long hour that normally I saw at other manufacturing companies was controlled. A person assigned to the project actually got to work on that project for the given amount of time versus assigned to so many projects that the communication of where they were less than accurate.

Moog is an example of a great company built on ideals that are profitable and reduces stress.

Those are the facts that I recollect from Moog. What a healthy work environment requires something that is missing in today’s workforce. There should be management architecture that cares for their people. The managers are out to cut costs, lower evaluations and cause stress on people because profitable short term is all that can be seen. Their goals are corporation goals but the way they handle what is going on is the health issue.

Instead of placing 240 work hours of work on a person 140 hours should be appointed for a person. Rationale is 20 hours is given for communication of status on their project monthly. Without reducing the hours required of certain people all the corporations do is cause overload and stress that are eating alive the workforce.

Diabetes from not allowing people lunch hour to requiring people to stay late at night should be managed with the employee instead of saying you are paid a salary you are a slave. That management can drain a person's time without compensation is wrong. If a person is required to work an hour, the corporation should have to pay for that hour versus unpaid overtime or non worked hours allocated on the time card. The law should be changed for a better health that a salary employee is not a slave to their work.
