If you had to put your life in the hands of any American President with complete trust, which one would it be, and why?

There are just so many to choose from, whom I have read about but,  for me it would have to be Franklin Delano Roosevelt (FDR). He sounds a good egg all round, with his very savvy, courageous and caring wife, Eleanor, and his disability, he stamped his indelible mark on his country, despite his chaotic private life, or his many faults. 

Described as a "charismatic, handsome and socially active man", in his "first hundred days" in office, which began March 4, 1933, and beyond Roosevelt spearheaded major legislation and issued a profusion of executive orders that instituted the New Deal—a variety of programs designed to produce relief (government jobs for the unemployed), recovery (economic growth), and reform (through regulation of Wall Street, banks and transportation)."

Perception is very powerful in judging people and I felt that this president had his ear to the people, and he was credited with much that was good about his term of office, hence why he had three terms, unlike any other president.

That's my choice, but who would it be for you?
