Biohacking videos TOO EDGY for Youtube...
Some people have asked me…
Jonathan now that you’ve got your channel back are you going to water your content down a bit? Are you going to cool it? Are you going to self censor?
The truth is… Maybe a little bit.
There’s certain things that after this episode with the #BiohackerBan, I’m going to refrain from discussing on Youtube.
My initially reaction after getting my channel back was to take the edginess to the next level and talk about all the things that might be most triggering to a Youtube censor.
But cooler heads prevailed…
I do want to stay in touch with the 13,000 subscribers I have and there’s plenty of other places on the Internet were I can speak freely without fear of censorship. I do appreciate Youtube reinstating my channel so I’m going to compromise and try to follow their rather puritanical rules. If a restaurant has a rule that says No Shirt, No Shoes, No Service I’m not going to be the shirtless, barefooted asshole demanding to hang out at the restaurant.
Youtube is ultimately a place for entertainment and amusement.
It’s NOT for place for finding truth or real education. If you value truth you need to get off Youtube from time to time and read books, read meta analysis papers on Pubmed and as I’ve urged before join and participate in the conversation on the explicitly free speech social media sites.
