A SHORT HISTORY OF A NOT-SO-ANCIENT ORDER.

I will assume that we know what the Knights Templar were. They were a bunch of warrior monks tasked by the Pope to protect pilgrims visiting the Holy Land from Islamic attack.

It might be argued that there are no Knights Templar in the present day as the Pope later turned on his own creation and slaughtered as many as he could find. In reality the Templars simply went private. The Pope can hardly claim ownership of an order he treated so poorly.

Anyone can call themselves a Templar. It has become a crankish hobby for some and yet much good charitable work is done in the process.

Y This new order, the Several Order is an attempt to distil the good and eliminate crankishness except where it is fun. It is currently in pre-launch pending some minor adjustments but it will be hard launched on August 25th 2018.

What is Templarism for? It exists to defend Western civilisation.

This may be done by opposing terrorism, by supporting free speech and science or in artistic endeavours. Science is under attack from many areas, not only religious fundamentalism but the new age and the green movement.

The ideals of beauty are threatened by a deliberate ugliness in public art that can only be countered with good art which we will probably have to produce ourselves.

The threats are so diverse they may only be countered wherever the individual finds them. There is no point in trying to prioritise or direct a campaign as the threats are universal. This order is a several order. ‘Several’ in old-speak meant separate from.

One advantage to this is cost and time effectiveness. No organization structure or overhead is required. We fight where we are.

In order to ensure that this does not become an excuse to do nothing we make one rule. The Knight must devote ten percent of his income and a good chunk of time to the goal.
