Recently, there has been a massive surge in anti-pitbull sentiment in the online world. To be honest, upon enumerating their multitude of negative qualities, it quickly becomes clear why this is. Both ugly and violent, they maintain quite a monopoly in the field of violent dog attacks, comprising around 64% of all violent dog attacks from the years 2005-2016. That being said, it is comes as to no surprise why people are lobbying to ban pitbulls in the US, or going so far as to hunt them down and drop them off at shelters in the hope that they will be euthanized. (top fcking kek)
The Alt-Right in particular has taken up the anti-pit cause, posting a storm of tweets and memes on the subject. Arguably, they have spearheaded the anti-pit movement into relevance once again, with one GoFundMe page quickly raising $8k to fund an anti-pit billboard campaign. What I find most interesting, and hilarious in a way, is how this crusade on pitbulls is largely analogous to the Alt-Right’s distaste for blacks. The criticisms of pitbulls are rife with dog-whistles referencing the same negative qualities possessed by Africans, with certain pitbull statistics echoing the same negative traits and patterns which are true of their negroid counter-parts.
Virtually everyone taking part in this shitfest is aware of this fact, either consciously or subconsciously, and I’m not the first person to have stated this outright. I’ve a feeling the left knows it too, and it won’t be long before you see an influx of articles outlining the racism under-pinning the anti-pit movement. If this does happen, it will of course increase the spread of hard data on this subject and enlighten more people on the issue of both pitbull and black violence. Win-Win.
In a way, this forthcoming trend is indicative of the ability and willingness of the Alt-Right and 4chan culture to use adaptive terminology and techniques to express a common message. This same phenomenon occurred back in 2016 when 4chan created of a whole slew of new racial slurs based on the names of large Silicon-Valley tech companies after it was rumored that Google would be implementing censorship A.I. (Operation Google). This level of inventiveness to round censorship and spread truth is absolutely fascinating. While a government can regulate speech to an extent, regulating a person’s thoughts is much more difficult. You cannot tear down the genetic bonds that separate human sub-species separated by thousands of years of evolution with a few decades of propaganda and censorship. Regardless of the measures put in place, the various degrees of repulsion that races feel towards each other will continue to be expressed, even if only through channels as subtle as animosity for a particular breed of dog. It’s almost as if free speech finds a way.
