If you saw someone being hurt in front of you, would you do anything about it?

There have been lots of cases where people have been afraid to tackle other attackers, especially youngsters in a group. How would you react if someone was being physically harmed in front of you?

Would you be a hero, despite the obvious dangers, avoid the risks?
