City Hall is Full of Shit, Literally

The National Narcotics Detector Dog Association (NNDDA) is holding a national training in Amarillo.  According to news reports, participants are arriving from across the country.  The participants, along with their dogs, are staying at the Embassy Suites Hotel across from City Hall.

This raises the question, where are all of those dogs doing their business?  The following is an actual conversation with an NNDDA participant:

Amarillo Exposed (after witnessing a dog squatting on the grass beside City Hall.:  Are you going to clean up after your dog?

Dog Handler:  I don't have to, the City does it for us?

AE:  The City?

DH:  Yes, the police department.

AE:  So taxpayers are paying to clean up after your dogs?

AE:  I guess.  All of these areas (waving his hand to indicate the grassy areas next to City Hall and the Amarillo Civic Center) have been designated as areas for us to relieve our dogs.

So the City of Amarillo is concerned about health concerns from the Tent City (which had porta-potties)  but it's OK for dozens and dozens of dogs from across the country to urinate and defecate on for an entire week on the grass around City Hall?  And taxpayers are picking up the cleanup tab so the Embassy can host the event?

Once again, City Hall is being very selective with their outrage.

Talk about being full of shit.
