Suffering from allergy?

Last year right after the wildfires, we bought 5 of the Winix Air Purifier because the quality of the air (even indoors with the windows closed) was really bad. I thought that we would use them temporarily until air quality went back to normal.

Guess what? I noticed that my allergy got a lot better after using them. My wife also noticed. I no longer had a need to keep blowing my runny nose (our Kleenex consumption has gone down dramatically). And I stopped taking Sudafed when I absolutely could no longer take the effects of my allergy. I can't even remember the last time I took Sudafed or any medicine for my allergy.

I'm a believer and now we have 6 of the Winix Air Purifier. It is a 3-stage Air Purifier and a "True HEPA" capturing 99.97% of pollutants. It comes with a 2 years supply of filters (8 Carbon Pre-Filers and 2 True HEPA Filters). The Carbon Pre-Filters are replaced every 3 months and the True HEPA Filter is replaced annually. The Pre-Filter should be cleaned with a vacuum cleaner every month.

It uses Advanced PlasmaWave Technology. I have no idea what that is but here's what the box say:

It breaks apart odor, allergens, VOCs and other pollutants at the molecular level without producing harmful Ozone.

It covers 360 square feet. We got them on sale at $100 from the local Costco and I recently bought the last one they had in stock.

Funny and true story: my oldest grandson didn't know what the device is called and he was trying to describe it to us. He says "you know, the device that turns on automatically when you pass by it and fart."

All of the devices are set on "Auto" although you can manually control it. It has an air sensor and a light monitor to detect when you're asleep. It even comes with a remote control which I've never used.

Fortunately, they don't consume that much electricity. They're on all of the time.

And they're worth every penny greatly alleviating my allergy problem.
