Interested in Collaborating with Video Visual Artists/Animators & Actors For Million Dollar Extremesque Short Films
Hey all, my name's Xylen Roberts. Some of you have probably seen my stuff or subscribe to me. I am a singer/songwriter/multi-instrumentalist/producer, comedian/dramedian, writer, etc. For years, I predominately focused on music and occasional short stories, but starting Summer 2017 I got more into making video skits on Youtube. I've quite liked doing it, its' always good to expand ones' creative palette. But frankly its getting tiresome having to do FUCKING EVERYTHING by myself, and at times limiting. I write the skits, act them out, compose the music, do the cheap Adobe Premier Pro effects and editing, etc. Pretty much cuz I have to. But I am dreaming bigger. I want to go in a Million Dollar Extremeesque direction with more actors, better visual effects, etc. Though this is the closest thing I could think to compare my skits too. In reality, they are really their own thing. As a whole, my style is less 'extreme' than Sam Hyde's, in that I predominately steer cleer of race humor. However, ridiculing feminists, finding entertaining ways to wake folks up to all manor of conspiracies, enlightening people in surreal meta ways---I'm all about that. A few of my local friends are interested in participating, though most are not able to devote any significant time to expanding what I do into a full fledged collaborative effort.
So I am posting on here to see if there's any interesting visual artists, video editors and actors who would be interested in collaborating in the future. I am also open to other musicians and writers if that's yr thing, however those are my specialties, so most of the music and writing I'll be handling myself. If the collaborations work out with the skits, it'll probably naturally expand into making music videos as well. I've worked with good visual artists in the past, but unfortunately the collabs didn't last long as most of them are very busy and could only devote enough time to do a few music videos for me. I am looking for folks who would be interested in a more long term, ongoing thing. Down below are some examples of my skit videos and music videos to get an idea of where I am coming from.
