Alfa Romeo is making a Jaguar F-Type rival with the 6C

Alfa Romeo is developing 6 cylinder rival to the Jaguar F-Type and Porsche 911 which will reach roads in early 2020  following a motor show debut in the next 24 months, says tuning company Pogea Racing.

This car will carry the torch from the Alfa Romeo 8C. This car will use a 503BHP V6 from the  Giulia and Stelvio Quadrifoglio. When this car is released it will collide with Maserati's new electric sports car Alferi. Alfa Romeo said they aren't ruling out some sought of electric powertrain. 

The source I'm covering on is from tuning company Pogea Racing who have allegedly worked very closely with Alfa Romeo developing this car and are enthusiastic suggesting a high-level Alfa Romeo executive. An Alfa Romeo spokesman described the claims as speculation, but didn’t rule out the possibility of a sports car in the future.

My opinion

Knowing that Alfa Romeo sponsoring Sauber's Formula 1 team Alfa can advertise the heck out their car from the Mito to their new halo car. 

My favourite sports car is the Alfa Romeo 8C because of the looks. It was smooth, sleek and subtle, Jeremy Clarkson stated 'that this car is a piece of art.' The Alfa Romeo 4C was differentiated it self from the 8C instead of it being a grand tourer it was a track day car.

In the sports car market Alfa Romeos 6C will be swallowed by it's rivals including the Jaguar F-Type, Porsche 911 and the Toyota Gazoo Supra even. I would like to see Alfa Romeo create something bold such as a new interpretation of the SZ Zagato to make a mark on the sports car market.
