Detroit Motor show is the first major car show of the year. Detroit Motor show a mixed bag one year a supercar surprise then nothing much. The Ferrarinator presents my Detroit Motor show 2018 observation list.
2018 Hyundai Veloster N - Best car at Detroit Motor show 2018
When seeing teaser photos of the Hyundai Veloster N I thought "why is there another generation of the Hyundai Veloster"? Then when viewing photos of this car I was surprised this car looked slick. From the front grill to rear diffuser the red accent is featured around this car and I like it. The rear spoiler has perfect proportions because the spoiler isn't to small for dullness and to big to be counted as ricer.
I mainly like this car due to style but the specs are good with 271bhp, 260ft from a 2.0 litre 4 cylinder turbocharged engine. Hyundai are pulling all the stocks for attention with this car being featured in Ant Man 2 and a free DLC in Forza Motorsport 7.
2018 Mercades G Class - most pathetic car at Detroit Motor show 2018
This car was unveiled before Detroit Motor show, on January 6th to be exact. These photos where supposedly leaked. Or where they? Mercedes knew that we had an idea what this car would look like, New headlamps and dashboard.
The current trend in the car industry is every generation of blank car looks similar to previous generation. This car took it a step further, all it did was modernize the lights and infotainment system. You can do better Mercedes.
Nissan Xmotion concept - Most ugly car at Detroit Motor show
All concept cars are designed for to show the public and critic alike showcasing a new style for the brand. Nissan says this car is a curvy SUV.
This car is a hodgepodge of ideas from being smooth to looking tough. What I can say is either go smooth or go rough, Nissan can't have cake and custard they can have cake or custard.
Conclusion
This isn't the main show for cars but this year has been stagnant. I'm not expecting a new supercar coming out but come on the star of your show is a hot hatchback. At least we've got Geneva motor show to look for awesome cars but On That Bombshell goodnight.
