In the 1970's the Sex Pistols ranted about anarchy in the UK. Unfortunately that has become apathy in the UK. The great social experiment has a very strong foothold here, and a majority of the populace are happy to accept it. As long as their tv series continues with no shocking decisions, no revelations and nothing to make them rub two brain cells together, they're contented.

Don't get me wrong, there are people who are concerned about the dumbing down of our society, reducing it to its lowest common denominator, Some of them even have their own channels, much to the chagrin of YT, and espouse much of the same thinking. It's unfortunate that we can't break through the barrier and set them free from the "matrix".

Since I was a young child I've always viewed zombie movies as a metaphor. As an adult I can see that it is real. In the run up to christmas I see people maxxing out their credit cards to buy stuff which the recipient doesn't want or need. The default for men is socks, antiperspirant or shaving gel. No thought given and no advice taken.

I don't know what it's like in other countries, but I hope that you give more thought for the gifts that you give.
