Helsinki police department is not commenting why they used road blocks to barricade the entrance of one the most popular tourist attractions in the Finnish capitol.

The police blocked the entrance to the church with concrete road blocks this afternoon. They are not commenting but the church is saying its about avoiding traffic jams. That seems unlikely.

The Church in the Rock is carved in bedrock and its entrance is easily accessible by any vehicle. It is a popular toirist attraction in the heart of Helsinki only a few hundred meters from the parliament building.

It had been suggested as a potential target for terrorism by Finnish ISIS fighters so the threat does exist. Furthetmore yesterday the police organized a man hunt at the very same location using over ten normal patrol cars and special units. They did not say who were they looking for but they did announce that they didn't find whoever it was.

Thousands of people are speculating with the possibility of terrorism in social media and the media has slowly picked up the story. Finland has not suffered peace time terrorist attacks in a hundred years of independence.
