Near Munich, Germany, a Tesla Model S driver saw a Volkswagen Passat swerving erratically on the Autobahn.  The Passat was ramming into the guard rail and the Tesla driver noticed the driver was unconscious.

The Tesla driver sprang into action.  First, he called the fire department, next, he got his car in front of the other car.  He gently tapped his brakes until the Passat was up against his car (all while they're moving).  He slowed his breaks and was able to slow both cars to a stop.

The fire department arrived and was able to treat the Passat driver, who was believed to have had a stroke.

Not only did the Tesla driver take some serious risks, the two cars suffered about $10,000 worth of damage combined.  Regardless, he likely saved the other driver's life.

After hearing the news, Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, tweeted out that he will be covering the repair costs, saying "congrats to the Tesla owner who sacrificed damage to his own car to bring a car with an unconscious driver safely to a stop!  In appreciation, Tesla is providing all repair costs free of charge and expedited."
