Last year, Richard Overton received national attention for reaching the age of 109, making him the oldest, surviving United States military veteran.
Today, he's still kicking at the age of 110 and he credits three things to his longevity: cigars, whisky and guns.
"I feel good. A little old, but I'm getting around like everybody else," Overton told reporters, from his home in Austin, Texas.
Overton served in the 1887th Engineer Aviation Battalion during World War II, and served as a corporal in Hawaii, Guam and Iwo Jima.
"I don't think about (dying)," he said. "You can't do anything about that. It's going to come, whether you want it or not. I just think about living."
And live, he does. He drinks milk every day and eats ice cream every night. Plus, he spikes his coffee with whiskey every morning. "I mean, you put that whiskey in there, it makes your muscles get warm," he says.
