The world's first plantable coffee cup dramatically reduces waste and turns into flowers.

A new coffee cup that costs the same as a conventional, biodegradable, recyclable cup has been invented that stores flower seeds inside of it.  You drink the coffee (or any other drink, really), unravel the cup, soak it in water for 5 minutes and plant it.  Then you watch the flowers grow.

This is simply awesome.  The cup biodegrades in 180 days, whether it's in a landfill or planted in firtile dirt.

The plantable coffee cup was invented by Alex Henige, while attending Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, and is being produced by his company, Reduce. Reuse. Grow.  His company has already planted over 140,000 containers.

You can help fund this project on Kickstarter and get it into as many coffee shops as possible.
