My "Datasphere Catalog" posts exist as a record of the information publicly available about a topic in-setting. The 30th century described in my "Angels' Reach" stories has a form of interstellar internet (the dataspheres), so I draft these posts with an eye to revealing only the information anyone with a digital device would have access to.
Items in each category are listed in order from newest to oldest (except in the case of multi-part entries, which are grouped in logical order regardless of post date), and the most recent category to receive an update will appear at the top of the list. I post new Datasphere Catalog entries on Thursday and Saturday at Noon CST, though there may be a bit of a delay before a new post appears in this list.
If you've read these entries or any of my other work and want to request that I do a datasphere entry on a particular thing, leave a comment on this blog. I'm happy to take those requests, but I tend to have these scheduled a week or more in advance, so expect to see a few other items go up before the one you requested.
Might it seem to be a contradiction that I post these when I also famously quip that "Nobody Cares About your World-Building"? Yes, I suppose. This is a good writing and notes-cleanup exercise for me first of all, and perhaps in the future it can be used as a way of rewarding readers of my fiction with additional information on stories they've already read. If you want to read some of my fiction, check out this post instead.
