It hung there dismantled
Twisted into many forms.
The fact it still continued to breath life
Was a spectacle.
Upon further examination, something quite fascinating can be seen.
There are vast valleys filled with towering monoliths
Each with their own characteristics.
Surrounding these areas of curiosities are the most beautiful flowers.
Though not native to any species known, they were remarkable!
The further you get away, the surrounding areas seem to be withering away.
Broken glass lay scattered all around, revealing the bits and pieces of reflections
Reflections of past mistakes.
Lifeless, the air thins, what seemed familiar and close to home becomes distant.
further out roots at first glance were really bodies
Bodies: vague images of past memories
Who're these people?
They all lead to a central point, gripping onto the remaining life-force of this twisted place.
Closer it heaved, sending a shock-wave just before murmuring some sort of incomprehensible word.
But then I heard it, "leave", it told me, "leave", it said it again.
I didn't hesitate, turned around I ran.
I ran like never before.
The ground began to swell as it engulfed everything around me.
A watery satiation filled my lungs
It was too late.
My body suspended.
Drifting into a never ending abyss.
I heard it again.
This time a lot softer
"Wake up."
