The title of this post might be a little over-the-top, but then again it might not be. I spend a lot of time observing what others write and how the media portrays thing, so I guess I'm considered a conspiracy theorist (of course I'm also surrounded by many like-minded people here on Minds, so it's OK). Anyway, this latest list will make you think, and I'd love to hear any thoughts you have on the content.
1. Why do we measure the economy by how well the rich people are doing? Our media looks at the Stock Market, Gold and Precious Metal Futures, Crude Oil, and a laundry list of other things that have little or no connection to the common man or woman. I think it should instead be based on the price of milk, bread, and beef plus the savings rate, real employment rate, energy, and how much the average person is paying in taxes. Politicians would have a much tougher time trying to pull the wool over our eyes if they spoke about things almost everyone understands instead of derivatives or futures markets.
2. Why do blasphemy laws exist when there has never been proof of any God, Goddess, or other creature with Godlike abilities? How did a carpenter, a self-proclaimed orphaned prophet with a super-sized ego, any one of the rulers along the Nile, and a guy who could supposedly part a great body of water ever become so important in the bigger picture of the world. Unless I’m missing something about how human beings can suddenly be transformed into Gods or Goddesses. Why does calling them fraudulent equate to a high crime?
3. Why do people who claim to be low-income or hungry have pets? Couldn’t the money be spent of human food? I know many people need them for companionship, but I'd rather eat than have a pet to care for and feed. Don't get me started on why they have a better mobile phone plan than most of us do or how they can afford $300.00 shoes and collect welfare.
4. Why do people that file for bankruptcy get to keep everything? If this was a few hundred years ago, they’d be selling everything to pay off the debt and then going to prison on top of it. If you make it a hardship to file bankruptcy, maybe people will actually learn to budget and pay bills on time with money they have. Credit is killing us across the board; we all know the banks know many people can't repay their debts but they also love that our stupid government is ready to bail them out.
5. Who on this earth could possibly believe all the threats you heard growing up? I'll bet a lot of you Catholics are laughing hard at this one; especially the one that says don’t touch yourself or you'll go blind or worse. I wish I would have wrote down all the empty threats my folks made; it would be the funniest thing. As a kid my dad would have "knocked me into next week," "I'd have a broken face," "or worse, my face would stay whatever weird way I was making it look." I'd always have "something to cry about," "Or I'd be sold to gypsies (no pun intended on that one)," or the ultimate, "I'd have to wait until my father got home."
6. Why is it that only white countries need “diversified” – how come the world isn’t demanding Indians, Arabs, and Mexicans move to Sub-Sahara Africa until the numbers are equalized? Why do jobs that are predominantly held by whites need balanced with equal numbers of minorities, except for professional sports of course?
7. What’s all the hubbub about this thing called the cloud? It’s just another person’s/company’s computer that you are paying to let them store and look at your important data files. Who invented this scam anyway? Your information is no more secure on their servers as it is yours.
8. Why can you find so many pictures of illegal activities with a simple internet search? Are people no longer afraid of law enforcement? I can find shocking pictures of underage kids, people using illicit drugs, murders, rapes, and on and on and on. Why do people bother to record themselves and friends doing illegal acts or acting stupid. The internet never forgets, just ask many of the people who were "caught" doing something a decade ago but paid for it today.
9. Why it it still being called government funded? Everything is taxpayer funded. The government doesn't create wealth, it only redistributes it. Makes me wonder how many people would go get a job if all assistance programs were suddenly gone; we'd see the posers come out real quick when that EBT card stopped working.
10. When was the last war actually won; by anyone? War is big business and in today's world, they aren't meant to be won or lost, only kept going for as long as possible before being relocated to another area. The money to be made on tanks, planes, and guns far outweighs human life; isn't it obvious?
