Alarm screams in the morning, chasing the blissful silence of slumber and replacing it with the deafening familiar sounds of the brain starting to turn. "We need to shower" the person says trying to spark even a hint of motivation in the brain. "No you" it sarcastically barks back "I want to talk about what you're going to say in response to that comment that co worker made to you yesterday!". "No brain, that is completely counter productive and I think you're over reacting anyway!" "But they probably hate you since you were so awkward yesterday". "Where do you even get that impression?" "Well don't you remember when they all went out for drinks and you didn't go after I explained it was only a pity invite since you were the last to know" "Yes, I remember that brain now can we please shower?" More screams come from the second alarm and the time for showering has passed.

Even the eldest of human found ways to replenish the joules expended throughout the day. "We'll have to go shopping after work today, there's no food in the fridge". "Great idea! We'll get so many healthy things too!" "Perfect so it'll be okay to purchase food."

Driving to employment in the morning has said to be a big factor in making or breaking your day. Choosing the quickest and most care free route is certainly the most preferred one. "Where did we put the car keys?" "SERIOUSLY THE KEYS ARE MISSING!!!???" "WHO'S FAULT IS THIS, IT CAN'T BE MINE. NO SOMEONE MUST HAVE MOVED IT!" "slow down... let's retrace the steps from after we got home last night." "NO THERE'S NO REASON! SOMEBODY MUST HAVE MOVED THEM! HOW MANY TIMES HAVE YOU TOLD PEOPLE TO LEAVE YOUR THINGS ALONE!!!" "Here look I found them beside the bed, probably exactly where they were thrown without thinking". "Oh, okay no problem then!" "Except now we have to take the high way".

To avoid excessive decision making the same thing is ordered. "But I don't even want this again!" "I'm sorry, but if we would go shopping instead of being to warn out or tired then we would have more options." "But I don't want this, just eat it on first break." "No it'll be cold and we never actually do eat it, making it waste." "But we won't do that this time, we'll totally make sure we eat. Plus we're not ever hungry yet." "The point is to be not hungry later brain, the medication will kick in soon and we won't want to eat." "I hate the medication". "I know but it make's this easier and I'm not doing this right now!" "Fine, are you sure you're driving fine? Like you're not drifting off to the one side?" "No brain we're fine." "LOOK you just drifted! You kind of suck at driving, you're probably going to get pulled over!" No, I told you before that we're fine." "But you might hit someone and then how are you going to pay for that?" "I said we're fine, now stop".

All that arguing left little time for food so for those who are keeping score, the brain is winning and we haven't even stepped inside work yet.
