Every year, as you probably know, Time Magazine chooses a "Person of the Year" for their cover. They insist that their choice does not mean that they endorse that person, which is a questionable claim. Yes, it may happen that they choose someone they do not really approve of, but that's hard to tell.
Take the infamous choices of Hitler and Stalin: true, both were "important". Both were evil, powerful psychopaths. And it is entirely Time editors approved of both. Hitler was seen as a mainstream socialist and approved of by many. Stalin was openly admired by Eleonor Roosevelt and millions of people in the West who aspired to imitate the USSR.
They were definitely enthousiastic about Obama. Not so much about Trump - but in a rare moment of intellectual honesty, they admitted that president Trump had really had a huge international impact.
If you need a reminder of what their ideology is, right now, there's probably no better place to start than their photos of the Year 2021:

Yes, they are far left...
They do allow their readers to vote on who should be picked as "Person of the Year" - a vote that is purely symbolic, as it is non-binding, for Time magazine. They may or may not pick whom the public saw as most important, but the reader's choice is really the most relevant information to judge global sentiment.
The majority of the participants in this informal vote are probably Time subscribers, as they are the ones who get the link - which is here:

Here is a selection of individuals you probably know, with their score as I found it less than 20 hours ago. Many will probably be a surprise (I omitted ideologically and politically irrelevant ones, such as sports and entertainment celebrities):
The fake Facebook "whistleblower", who is a communist, is universlly hated, as should be:
Putin's opponent gets a rather decent score - the 3rd highest:
The fact that 24% of the people thought that "vaccine" scientists should be given an award shows how little they understand...
I understand why people still have positive feelings about healthcare workers, but unfortunately, way too many went along with lies. They know what's really happening, 99% of them are not speaking up.
Pretty shocking that Time should even include "Haitian migrants" as candidates - WTF is their achievement? I'm sure that there are some individuals who happen to be from Haiti who are nice people who actually do good things, but the "migrants" as a group are not something to be welcomed. For starters, why can't they run a decent society in their home country? Again, individuals may not bear any responsibility, but large groups do represent the society they hail from...
Someone should tell Time that the treasonous Liz Cheney has been kicked out from the Republican party, which she never represented. Neither did her father.
Elon Musk actually gets a very high score - one of the very few exceeding single digits. Personally, I still haven't figured him out. He is either extremely unstable in his views and changes them constantly or he is not very coherent. Sometimes, he says things that are amazingly smart and insightful and then he says or does something incredibly stupid. Let's say I would not mind seeing him as person of the year. It wouldn't offend me. It would be justified - and not because he is now the richest man on the planet - an ephemeral attribute, at best. He was interesting long before that:
In the category: "Ooops, they dragged this one out of the toilet..." - 2 of the most unsufferable individuals on this planet. Completely irrelevant, only known due to Harry's family. Stop mentioning them, no one gives a flying 💩💩💩
The only thing that's remarkable about Billy Eilish is that she's aging faster than a popsicle on a hot summer day... must be the drugs. Yikes. What an utterly irrelevant individual.
Mitch McConnell? I'm sure they only included him to piss off Republicans. A slimy, treasnous little weasle.
In the category of totally unearned fame and wealth, MacKenzie is the worst - not only didn't she do anything to deserve her $30+ billion. And what does she do with her unearned wealth? She gives billions to the Marxist parasites of BLM and Antifa so they can cause more harm to the entire planet! I really hate her with a vengeance!
So let's see what score her ex gets - the smart, productive but sociopathic Jeff Bezos. He's marginally more popular - he beats her by 2%. He was there at the right time in the early days of the internet, he was willing to work hard to create an intermediary business for the internet age but ultimate, he's just a glorified accountant with the personality of an accountant and the mindset of Dr.Evil. And at some point, he just started scamming his clients, selling Chinese goods with a 200% markup over AliExpress.
Britney Spears actually beats Elon Musk by 1%, so far. I think that's a pity vote. She's been used and abused. I'm seriously disappointed in her father. He obviously took advantage of her since she he sold her out as Disney star... she doesn't deserve the nomination based on her achievements, but as reminder of what happens when someone is not given parental love. Love your kids!
We've seen Greta, she got her "idiot of the year" award. The WEF & the Club of Rome obviously had enough pull for that. But apparently, the public image does not match the perception the majority have of her. She would never have been picked by the readers.
Not much to say about the next few scumbags... you know them, you hate them. My only question is: how can anyone want them nominated? They are psychopaths! Disgusting, revolting monsters 🤮
Mr. "I won the election with 81 million votes" gets a score of ... 7%. I maintain that he never got more than 60 million votes, at most. And at least half of those voters must have changed their mind, by now. Or they are dumber than a wall of bricks.
Now let's get to them 2 most popular characters:
With 38%, president Trump got the 2nd most votes - and he's previously been slected for "Person of the Year:
The winner, by an incredibly large margin of 75%, is president Bolsonaro! No one else even gets close:
I'm pretty sure that this was NOT the outcome Time Magazine was expecting.
