Phobos is a human raised beneath the surface of Mars' moon Phobos by the last surviving martians, who were forced to live on Phobos after Mars' automated social justice A.I. deemed all Martian thoughts to be hatespeech. After the automated wrongthink cleansing by way of completely destroying Mars' atmosphere, the survivors of the Martian race fled to Phobos. Phobos (the man) was doomed to be an unfortunate statistic, launched from his birth planet Earth, just after his birth, into space in a capsule providing stasis for a trip up to 5 years as part of a government program to enrich the universe with humanity.
Phobos (the man) would not have survived were it not for Martian survivors on Phobos (the moon) noticing his tiny space capsule. It is said that Female Martian scientist Ezer Wedj'edmn was credited with the interception of his pod. "I could hear his weak, tiny heartbeat and it saddened me that even weaker creatures must have cast him out in a tin can, so I raised him as a fine Martian Warrior." - Ezer Wedj'edmn
Phobos (the man) was raised strong, and resistant to the vacuous lack of atmosphere on the surface of Phobos. He was taught the principles of Martian science and engineering. It is not currently known how he seems to travel between Earth and Mars. Once asked about it, Phobos responded "The Martians of Phobos taught me that if you are strong enough, you can swim in space."
