My last lesson conveyed the simplicity of playing a stringed instrument. Put your finger in the right place, and make the string vibrate the way you would like. The physics is simple.

Today I'm going to help you understand that all technical difficulties on an instrument happen above the shoulders and not below them. You should not begin practicing a musical composition from the standpoint that it is difficult and you have to practice to make it simple.

Rather, begin from the standpoint that the music is simple and you merely have to discover how to make it so.
