Braiding My Hair ; Quick Thought Bubble By: #MK22

Everytime I Braid my Hair, it gives me time to think. For my hair is Long. And Thick. 

I Count Every Braid as I go ..1, 2, 3 . .

For many Years I've braided this hair. 

I Have never had the pleasure of learning about my Native Heratidge..the knowledge I do have, has come from self learning, Books, Websites..I've been trying to contact my Band in Oweekeno Bella Coola for many years,.. as my disability slowly got worse and worse I had to stop trying and focus on other things.

I was thinking about all of this, and more as you could imagine..and a single thought took over my brain..

I've never heard this, come out of anywhere in my life.

But it is now my belief, that each knot of My Braid, Has Been A Life Struggle That I Have Over Come..and With Each Knot, I Remember, and Move Past...All the Traumas In My Life. And When the Braid is Finished, It Pulls all of that Inwards and Becomes A Lesson. 

These Lessons, come out through my words..my stories ..my warnings. I Have Unknowingly Placed Myself In My Inherited Place, As A Story Teller.

I Can start speaking..And Slow A  Room Filled with 6 Different Children, All in A Tiff...And by my Third Minute of speaking..They all Sat. Perfectly Quiet. Like we were sitting around a campfire telling stories...I Veered them out of the Negative and Into a Positive UpLifted Happy Crew of Children.

It was This, When Brought to my Attention, Produced this Thought ..

Some Say, That The Memories Of Our Elders, are past Down Through DNA. It is speculated that, our flash backs and deja -Vus..even our gut feelings, are there in your genes.. all ready to jump into your thoughts at any moment...
