Protecting Yourself From Epic Trolls. (This Is my Rifle, This is my Gun)

In this blog we will as the title implies talk about how to protect yourself from epic trolls and reporters, strikes on your account, and our opinions on how to appeal as well as list long term solutions that Minds could implement.

Protecting your account.

The first step to protecting your account using boost wisely and if your account itself is attacked (a non boosted post reminded or posted to your channel you appeal something like this:

According to the Minds Terms of Service

“If you find content that is objectionable, then Unsubscribe, Block, Report or just swipe on by. Minds is an open, free and public commons where users respect the right to use free speech. Of course, you may find a violation of these Terms of Service as you traverse Minds, in which case please Report the channel from the Settings cog on the content or channel profile or by email to [email protected].”

I would like to face my accuser and have acknowledgment they have followed these said terms as they have reported my channel and should follow the terms of service without knowing these this appeal should be accepted.

Has the user:

- Unsubscribe from my channel

&

- Blocked my Channel

You can protect your comments in two ways, if commenting on someone else's blog and get reported you can, delete your comment (Expressly you think its the blog creator trolling you ;) or appeal your honest view on why it should stay and hope the jury thinks the same of a single comment from a discussion,

Protecting Your Accounts Boosted Posts

The first thing to note is the boost system is an “add” system and not a #FreeSpeech platform, anyone that says otherwise is lying, your channel is suppose to be your voice on Minds . Below we will list the rules of the boost system and our opinion on how you should appeal

• Appeals on a moderation decision

Appealing, appeal on moderated decision, whatever they think it was

• Exceeds Boost rate limits;

The boost was held back, this appeal should be accepted as I have no more boost limit at this time.

• Is a Help & Support request

I am looking for help from users as I cant get a response in help and support , can who’s voting help me?

• Is selling Minds Tokens;

This is a third party site not affiliated with Minds. Can Minds boost its token page, Just wondering here.

• Contains content from a banned user

I have no idea if/when they where banned, I thought they deactivated the account as it says on the account page.

• Onchain payment failed

This is an offsite issue I am looking for help, can you help me?

• Original post has been removed

I don’t really have anything to say about this but why was it removed, was that voted on?

Tools Needed For Long Term Use

1.) A way to identify who reported my content.

2.) A way to remove the reporter from seeing future posts from your channel.

3.) A transparent Jury log for “random”

4.) A way to know the outcome of your vote.

5.) Defined areas of spam

6.) Defined areas (not including words) for NSFW
