Comparing spelling and grammar with automated technology....

What if I told you I'm smarter than you because I can spell gooder than you? Or what if I told you your smarter because you dont need proper grammar or spelling to understood things?

Well both sound unlikely so let's understand the processors. Many of studies have come and gone about the subject and all for the most part come to the same conclusion. Although communication is key to human survival it seems that one way or another doesn't really matter on your actual intelligence level. The difference is how the information is actually  processed.

Processing

As many know each person processes and intakes information given to them in different ways. This is much like a computer process information.

Cognitive psychology sees the individual as a processor of information, in much the same way that a computer takes in information and follows a program to produce an output.

Cognitive psychology compares the human mind to a computer, suggesting that we too are information processors and that it is possible and desirable to study the internal mental / mediational processes that lie between the stimuli (in our environment) and the response we make.

This means depending on our personal processing we take in and give out information differently, much like computer data processor.

Chip Sets

Now I'd like to think each person has a different "chip set" that takes in and outputs information in it's own way but for sake of symmetry I've listed two basic examples.

Manual Read Chip

Much like spellcheckers this chip set reads the mistake as is without making changes. This makes the processor follow three steps. One, identify the mistakes. Two, fix identified mistakes. Three, process information again.

This processor seems what I would call user based, the user has to manually make changes to fully understand what's presented. This also means you are more likely to remember the information as you are processing it multiple times.

Auto correct-

Much like auto correct programs this chip set makes changes as they are viewed and processes and displays the change to the user in one step. This often means you can process more information faster and more information at once and not have to ask for clarification of words or spelling or grammar mistakes, it also means you make more as you process what you think as what you are writing.
